The Hestia Foundation

The Hestia Foundation was established as a registered UK Charitable Foundation in 2002. Hestia funding is focused on the real needs of women and children. Funding is currently being provided for projects in Romania, Kenya, Zambia, and Ireland.

Invaluable time and internationally respected expertise from Professor Andrew Tomkins, CIHD. In addition CICH provides access to reports and experience of community development programmes related to improving health and nutrition, networking for ideas and resources, guidance on monitoring and evaluation, report writing, support for data analysis and writing papers for journals.

University Teaching Hospital Lusaka (UTH)

Office space, time and experience from medical officer and colleagues. Facilities for the dissemination of the experiences of the support group and how these have contributed to improving the health of women, especially those with HIV and the health and nutrition of their babies.

Lusaka District Health Management Team

Core medical supplies and staff for diagnosis and treatment. office space for meetings at headquarters. Advice, access to meeting rooms and ground space (potentially for nutrition projects such as home gardening and other income generating activities) at Chilenje
